DOWNLOADING FILES

Downloading Your Books

  • Log into Musa Publishing
  • Click My Bookshelf
  • Click the Download button next to the book title

If you do not have a download button:

Check the release date of the book, it may be that the book is not yet available. If your book has been released and you do not have a download button, contact Customer Service.

KINDLE

If you have purchased a Mobi or PRC (Kindle) ebook you need to set up your Amazon account to receive your books.

Set Up Amazon account

  • Go to Amazon.com
  • Hover over Your Account
  • Click on Manage Your Content & Devices
  • Under Your Device and Settings (on the left) click on Personal Document Settings
  • Under Approved Personal Document Email List make sure @musapublishing.com is there, if not add it.
  • Click Manage Your Devices
  • Click on your Kindle device in the list and verify your Kindle email. It will end with @kindle.com
  • Copy that email address to verify in your Musa account

Now go to Musa Publishing site and sign in

  • Go to My Account (link at the top)
  • View or Change my account informaton under My Account heading
  • Make sure the Kindle email address matches the email you just copied
  • If not, then place the correct email address in Kindle Email Address box
  • Click Update
  • Next click on My Bookshelf (link at top of page)
  • Find the book
  • Click the Send to Kindle button

It will take about 5 - 10 minutes for the book to show on your Kindle but it will show

Send eBooks Wirelessly

If you followed the steps above previously:

  • Purchase a Mobi or PRC (Kindle) ebook
  • Go to My Bookshelf to send your file to your Kindle

Send eBooks Using a USB Cord

  • Purchase a book from musapublishing.com using your computer and save it locally.
  • Connect your Kindle to your computer using your USB cord. Your Kindle will go into USB drive mode and you won't be able to use the device. Your wireless service is temporarily shut off and you will not receive any of your subscriptions while in this mode.
  • Your computer will recognize that the device is attached, and it should be listed as a drive under My Computer, or if you are using a Mac, on the desktop. Double click on the Kindle drive to open it.
  • There should be a folder inside the Kindle drive called documents. Drag your book files from their location on your computer to the documents folder. Close both folders and disconnect your device.

NOOK

Transfer files to your Nook: Barnes & Noble Support Site: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/help/help.asp

  • Purchase an EPUB file using your computer and save it locally.
  • Connect your Nook to your computer using your USB cord.
  • Your computer will recognize that the device is attached and will ask what you want to do. Click Open Folder to View Files.
  • Open the folder called My Library.
  • Open the folder called My Documents.
  • Drag your book files from their location on your computer to the My Documents folder. Close both folders and disconnect your device.

APPLE

iPhone/iPod/iPad

You can send your books to iBookshelf. You will need a software like Calibre to connect to your iTunes account. For more details on how to use Calibre, visit their site.

Download to Your iDevice

  • Go to www.musapublishing.com on your iDevice
  • Log into your Musa Publishing account (link at the top of the screen)
  • Click My Bookshelf
  • Click on the Downloand link for ePub, Mobi or PRC (Kindle)
  • It should ask you if you want to open it and give you a list of Apps including the iBookstore and Kindle apps.
  • Once you choose an App it will automatically open the file to read.

KOBO MINI

Before adding to your Kobo Mini follow these steps:

Downloading Your Books

  1. Log into Musa Publishing
  2. Click My Bookshelf
  3. Click the Download button next to the book title
  4. Save the file to your desktop or somewhere you can find the book easily for transferring to your ereader.

Adding books or PDFs using your computer

You can connect your eReader to your computer and then drag and drop books into your eReader library. Before you begin, add the books to your computer. Make sure you download the book to your desktop/computer before following these steps.

On a Windows computer

  1. Connect your eReader to your computer using the included USB cable.
  2. Tap Connect on your eReader.
  3. When Windows prompts you for an action, click Open folder to view files. A desktop explorer window will open, showing the contents of your eReader.
  4. Open a second desktop explorer window, and display the books you want to add to your eReader.
  5. Drag and drop your books into the eReader contents.

On a Macintosh computer

  1. Connect your eReader to your computer using the included USB cable.
  2. Tap Connect on your eReader.
  3. On your computer, open your Finder application.
  4. Select KOBOeReader from your list of devices.
  5. Open another Finder window and display the books you want to add to your eReader.
  6. Drag and drop your books into the KOBOeReader Finder window.

Adding books or PDFs to your Kobo Mini using Adobe Digital Editions

You can use Adobe Digital Editions to add EPUB and PDF books (including DRM-protected content) to your eReader, as well as books that are protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM).

  1. To add an EPUB or PDF book to your eReader, on your eReader:
  2. Connect your eReader to your computer using the included USB cable.
  3. A prompt will appear on the eReader screen.
  4. Tap Connect.

On your computer:

  1. Go to the folder where your eBook is saved.
  2. Right-click the book file and click Open With.
  3. Click Adobe Digital Editions. Adobe Digital Editions should start automatically and open the book.
  4. In Adobe Digital Editions, click the Library icon.
  5. Select your new book and drag it to the Kobo eReader bookshelf (listed on the left side under Bookshelves).

Note: Books that are protected by DRM have an .acsm file extension. This is a license for your book. You must be connected to the Internet when you open this file so that Adobe Digital Editions can verify the license and download the rest of the book.
